A shooting in Uptown early yesterday morning claimed the life of a 20-year old man.
According to details in the Chicago Tribune, the man was Edward Clark of the 4800 block of N. Winthrop Ave. He was found just a block south of his home on Winthrop with a gunshot wound to the head. It appears Clark was the victim of a “drive-by” shooting.
Alderman Cappleman posted a lengthy update to his Web page yesterday about the murder and about what he and his office have been working on to address crime. (Cappleman also discusses what he’s doing about crime in an interview in our December issue.)
Cappleman notes on this Web page that there has been an increase in gunfire and gang activity, which usually decreases in colder months.
