Mayor Emanuel announced the appointment of Paula Wolff to the role of City Colleges board chairman this week, replacing current board chair Martin Cabrera Jr., who is leaving to chair the Chicago Plan Commission.
As an Sun-Times article points out, this appointment means that the board will have its third chair in two years. Cabrera and former mayoral candidate Gery Chico preceded Wolff.
This is the latest to several recent statements and announcements regarding changes to the structure, curriculum, and focus of City Colleges.
