Truman celebrates Black History Month

Truman is celebrating Black History Month with programs and events throughout the month.

This week, those events include:

TUESDAY 2/7: Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, all day in the cafeteria foyer. 

Double Feature Tuesday: Starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Student Lounge. The films “The Color Purple” and “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” will be shown.

WEDNESDAY 2/8: Discussion: “Black Face, White Face.”  In the front lobby, 2 to 4 p.m.

THURSDAY 2/9: Two back to back events about the Tuskegee Airmen in the cafeteria. The Veterans Scholastic Association will present The Contributions of the Tuskegee Airmen to the Armed Forces at 11 a.m. followed by a presentation about the Tuskegee Experiment at noon by the psychology club, Psi Beta.
