More CTA notes

By Patrick Erwin, editor in chief

There’s a lot of activity – finally – in the planning and preparation for renovating and changing several Red Line CTA stops.

Workers have been seen at the Wilson el stop cleaning the inside retail space that has been vacant for years.

And CTA is having several planning sessions about the overall future of the Red and Purple Lines. According to Uptown Update, the possibilities include closing the Lawrence station on the Red Line and closing several Purple Line stops.

The CTA has been discussing consolidation of some Red Line stops for several years, and Wilson, Lawrence, Argyle and Berwyn are all within a seven-block radius.

What are you thoughts on the potential closures of CTA stops?
