The Chi-Town Jazz Festival is right around the corner!

The festival, a series of concerts being held at eight Chicago music venues, runs from March 7-11.

And Uptown’s own Green Mill Lounge will be hosting one of those shows on Friday, March 9.

The Green Mill set, which starts at 9 p.m., will include The John Moulder Quartet, The Larry Gray Trio and The Marquis Hill Quintet.

The minimum donation is $15, with most proceeds going to local charities including The Greater Chicago Food Dispository and Catholic Charities of Chicago.

The festival, founded in 2010 by Rev. John Moulder, pulls Chicago jazz musicians together to play a string of shows to support hunger relief in Chicago. Since its inception, the festival has raised over $30,000 for the cause.

Corporate supporters of the festival include Chicago Jazz Magazine and The GE Foundation, among others.
