City Colleges (CCC) has implemented changes to the registration process in a few key areas. These changes will impact the registration for summer and fall 2012 classes.
One change: priority registration for students who are close to graduating. Students who completed 45 or more credits were able to register as of April 9; those with 30 or more credits can register starting tomorrow. The remaining students can register beginning April 23.
Another new capability is in-progress prerequisite registration. This allows students to register for the next class in a sequence of classes before their participation in the first class is complete. Previously, students had to complete the course and get a final grade before being allowed to register, or before holds could be released.
Students will still have to meet academic standards, or pass placement tests, to remain enrolled.
The final new feature is a wait list for classes that are full. Students on the wait list will be notified if a seat becomes available in the class.
